Installing ASDT 0.0.9 (beta)
Note that the test release is not currently stable and should not be used for “real” work. You can safely experiment with the test release by creating a second copy of Eclipse.
Using Eclipse's Remote Site Install Weezard
- Lauch Eclipse and select "Find and Install" from the "Help" => "Software Updates" sub-menu.
- Selecting "Search for new features to install", on the next page click "New Remote Site...".
- Using the update address (http://aseclipseplugin.sf.net/updates/) add ASDT as a remote site.
- Everything from this point on is click "Next" like a zombie and watch the ticker go by.
- When the tree of checkboxes is displayed check off the ASDT branch, and return to your zombie state.
- Restart eclipse when prompted and you're done. Hip-hip-hooray, ASDT for you and me!!!
Manual Install
- Make a copy of your entire Eclipse directory. Use this copy for testing new ASDT releases.
- Download the latest test release http://aseclipseplugin.sourceforge.net/testreleases/ from the site
- Unzip the file and place the contents into your Eclipse folder. The contents of "features" should go into the "features" folder, and the same for "plugins"
- (Re)start Eclipse
