I just started with ASDT (again), and I saw that some of the options are not quite good for beginners. In fact, I would recommend the following options as standard for a newly installed ASDT:
- Logging: none (the 'LuminicBox' and 'Console' have problems with the strict mode of MTASC)
- MTASC compiler as default
- MTASC: strict (in AS3 all types are required, so this is a good decision for flash programmers who want their code to work in the future)
- MTASC: warnings for unused imports
I would recommend them as default options.
The AS files of LuminicBox and Console are not Strict-safe. I think this is not a problem of ASDT, is it? Maybe there are newer versions of LuminicBox and Console available which are Strict-safe?
